Abstract

This paper outlines a research project being carried out by a consortium consisting of the University of Birmingham, Railtrack Pic., Transportation Consultants International Limited, W.S. Atkins Rail Ltd., and Praxis Critical Systems Ltd. The project is sponsored by the UK LINK Inland Surface Transport Programme. Its primary objective is to progress automation of the production of safety cases for the railway industry.
