Abstract

—The present work compares critically two time domain programs that are available for the analysis of ships on a Single Point Mooring (SPM). The emphasis is given on the response in waves. Examples with actual ships under interest by PETROBRAS indicate that both software may be useful INTRODUCTION PETROBRAS acquired two programs the TERM SIM II ^ and later the ARIANE^ somewhat unpretentiously.
