Abstract

The study of traditional mortars has recently been attracting considerable attention because of diagnostic requirements that could be applied in the restoring of historical masonry. The objective of this study is to identify the physical and chemical characteristics of the mortars, which caracterize various Venetian construction periods between the 14th and 18th centuries.
