Abstract

This paper attempts using generalized information and formulas to simulate a ship power plant with a gas turbine as its prime mover. The method used is an analysis of detailed information which is readily available. 1 Introduction In the ship propulsion system the most important part is the main engine which in our case is a gas turbine. Dehoff and Earl Hall [1] use experimental data that have been given for a certain engine. Rubis and Bodnaruk [6] present a method based on steady state engine output power diagrams. As stated in an earlier article by this author, [9] none of those methods, because of their character of calculation, can be easily used for a quick and precise simulation of the sy
