Abstract

This paper describes the plain, self— aligning, low —speed os- cillation bearing design for a hydrofoil (included material, lu- bricating, structure of bearing), points that it is possible to re- place the stainless steel supporting ring of a self — lubricating bearing from U. S. A with the outer ring made of bronze alloy and to change lubricating method in order to prevent from the peeling —off or falling —off of liners, which are sticked on the inside surfaces of outer rings from U. S. A bearings. The cyclic load oscillation wearing tests have proved this design improve- ment of the outer ring feasible. 1 Introduction The plain, self —aligning, low —speed oscillation bearing is of- ten used in hydrofoils.
