Abstract

A system ShipC for computer aided design of ship hull structures is presented in the paper. The system supports designing structural elements amidships according the the classification rules. The system is composed of three blocks: for dla bulk-carriers, container ships and tankers. General assumptions, computational possibilities and examples of application are presented in the paper. 1 Introduction Basic structural characteristics of ships have essential influence on cost of production and service of a ship. Thus it is important to have and use computer codes for computer aided design at the very early stage of the process. Variety of the design criteria is a reason of complexity of such software.
