Abstract

Since the latest 80's Wavelets have been an object of study of increasing importance in several items from signal processing to Galerkin methods. Several applications were devoted to Finite Elements and to the analysis of turbulence. The present paper is devoted to the possibility of using such applications on the analysis of Coastal lagoons. Two dimensional incompressible viscous flow The classical Navier- Stokes equations in the periodic plane S = (0,2%-) x (0,2?r) C R* and in the absence of external forcing take the form: - + (u • v)u + \?P - v v* u = 0 u(z,0) = UQ(Z) Here u is the velocity field, P is the pressure field and v is the kine- matic viscosity.
