Abstract

In this article, we present a comparison analysis of the system of algebraic equations arising from the solution of the Diffusion-Convection equation through the Dual Reciprocity Method in Multi Domains considering two approximating radial basis functions, namely, the classical DRM function and the augmented thin plate spline. A series of test examples is solved and compared with a benchmark solution with the purpose of establishing the performance of the DRM in Multi Domains. Particularly to check over the consistency and well established results generated by this technique. Special attention is paid to the behaviour of different iterative solvers along with several preconditioners in order to find the most efficient method to solve the type of sparse syste
