Abstract

The Dual Reciprocity Boundary Element technique (DRBEM) has been applied to solve transient heat conduction problems with nonlinear mate- rial properties and nonlinear boundary conditions including heat radiation. Kirchhoff's transformation has been used to remove the nonlinearity from the spatial differential operator. By static condensation the set of DRBEM equations has been transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations explicitly expressed in time derivatives of the Kirchhoff's transforms. This set has been solved using a Runge-Kutta procedure with adaptive stepsize control. Numerical examples are included. 1. Introduction The B
