Abstract

This paper presents an implementation of the boundary element method for 3D time-harmonic elastodynamics with higher order continuous/dis- continuous elements. In order to avoid the strong apparent singularities of the dynamic kernels, the singular integrations are carried out employ- ing a decomposition of the dynamic fundamental solutions into their static counterparts plus regular series. The static fundamental solutions are then numerically evaluated using a technique appropriate to Cauchy principal value integrals for curved surface elements.
