Abstract

This paper presented the contact problem of two bodies, i.e. anchor bolt and concrete, which are in contact over a certain region. In the pullout analysis, it is assumed that the concrete is only in contact with the upper edge of the anchor head where large compressive stresses occur. The crack in concrete is analysed using the boundary element method together with the fictitious crack model to represent the fracture process zone in concrete. The numerical results obtained are compared with the round-robin analysis of pullout test proposed by RILEM TC 90-FMA. 1 Introduction The contact analysis in the case of the pullout test is an analysis of tw
