Abstract

A measuring system has been developed for the determination of the wavy water surface around ship-like forms under way. Its novelty lies in the combination of different techniques over three areas of the free water surface around the model to maximize the overall measuring accuracy. The measuring procedures are kept simple in principle. Detailed description of the techniques and the relevant procedures is given, with some statements on their accuracy.
