Abstract

The paper deals with a harmonic, poly-harmonic and random signal pro- pagation in an elastic half-space. The screening behaviour of a trench or of a row of boreholes was investigated. The theoretical study was based on Lamb's approximate solution of Rayleigh waves propagation. Linear vis- coelastic as well as internal material random nonhomogeneity was taken into account. The results of extended laboratory tests and in situ measurements are presented. 1 Introduction Technological seismicity generated by various types of ground transport is of the character of stochastic wave motion corresponding with random ex- citation process as to its frequency content, e.g. [1]. This wave motion affects, with recordable inte
