Abstract

Advances in computer technology and in particular the Internet and virtual reality (VR), makes essential that management, learners and trainers explore the application of these technologies in for remote e-learning. In doing so, many issues relevant to the applicability and implementation of virtual reality in remote e-learning need to be addressed. This paper will present a model for remote e-learning in virtual reality environments. The model presented in this paper can be used to analyse the three types of remote e-learning processes; namely: Instinctual, Single-loop and Double-loop. Further, this paper outlines the benefits and limitations of employing virtual reality in remote e-learning in collaborative environments.
