Abstract

Mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of non-linear deformation of the asperity in the burnishing cold rolling operation L. Kukie&a Technical University ofKoszalin, Poland Abstract In the paper the mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of non- linear deformation of the asperities in the burnishing cold rolling operation is presented. A basic assumption in the model formulation is that the usual small increment strain tensor can be expressed as a sum of elasto and viscoplastic increment strains. The numerical examples of simulation are given. The dis- placement formulation of the finite element method, physical and geometrical non-linearity in the updated Lagrange formulation are assumed in numerical computation.
