P. spanidis2 1 Department of Industrial Management and Technology, University of Piraeus, Greece 2 Asprofos Engineering Co., Athens, Greece Abstract An engineering company, operating as a leader within a consortium established ad hoc for carrying out an energylenvironmental project or submitting a relative proposal, usually relies heavily on a working group which consists of representatives of all partners within the consortium. These people experience a knowledge-sharing problem, as they do not communicate on the same wavelength. This situation is not expected to change in the near future because young engineerslscientists seem also to have an inadequatelconfused background as regards energylexergylemergy concepts and their relations.
