Abstract

The described methods have been developed to assess the spatial-temporal scales of the impact produced by pollutants discharged into the sea over the shelf of Sakhalin Island (Far East Russia region), where oil and gas fields are being developed. Modelling technique includes the software for preliminary processing of initial information and the databases of hydrometeorological observations and pollution source characteristics, engineering methods and models, and the software for analysis and visual interpretation of modelling results. The described computation technique of pollution transport applies the three- dimensional advective-diffusive model with the Lagrange description based on the Monte-Carlo method. Peculiar of the model is realization of turbulent
