Abstract

This paper summarizes the results of the Dutch Emission Inventory for the base year 1994 as well as the preliminary emisison data for 1995. Within this inven- tory all emissions to air and water from all sources in the Netherlands have been registered. The results have been analysed with respect to pollutant, economic activity/sources and location resulting in contributions of target sectors to differ- ent environmental themes. The following results are presented: • About two third of the emissions of acidifying substances are caused by 'Agriculture' and Traffic and transport' (70%). The emissions of acidifying compounds decreased by approximately 8%. Both SC>2, NO% and NHg emissions were lower in 1994. For 1995, a decrease in agricultural NHg emissions is expected. SC>2 emiss
