Abstract

The estimation of atmospheric emissions is a key component of an air quality management plan. As part of ongoing research into air quality management in the Greater Manchester conurbation, a spatially disaggregated emissions inventory of major pollutants is being produced. This will estimate emissions from major point, line and area sources to a resolution of 1 km x 1 km for Greater Manchester and 5km x 5km for the remainder of the north west region.
