Abstract

On variation of levels of carcinogenic organic matter and other pollutants with meteorological elements in ambient air at normal human inhaling heights: hazardous effects of pollutants and mitigative measures thereof K.V. Ranganna Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore, 560 056, India ABSTRACT Pollutants in ambient air in two traffic infested roads of ' Bangalore city, South India, due to automobile emission containing SPM, Pb, B(a)P, SO 2 and NO are assessed. Their correlation with x meteorological elements is established. Measures to ease out traffic congestion are suggested.
