Abstract

This study aims to present a practical and efficient design method for anti- liquefaction improvement of saturated sandy grounds. For this purpose, a comprehensive evaluation system consisting of the program associated with the soil-improving-process by sand compaction piles(SCP) and the 2D finite element nonlinear program for liquefaction analysis have been proposed and reviewed. From analytical and experimental evaluation, efficiency of the evaluation system for the design of SCP method resisting the liquefaction of sandy soil are shown. 1 Introdu
