The theoretical presentation draws from fundamental research on the finite element flow formulation to the development and validation of a computer program. Fundamental research and development are based on a comprehensive analysis of a wide range of theoretical and numerical subjects such as; selection of elements, solution procedures, stability requirements, equations solvers, meshing and remeshing procedures. The overall presentation is illustrated with the numerical modeling of several forged parts that were manufactured by the authors under laboratory-controlled conditions. Computer predictions
