Abstract

The certification process B.S. Matu BSM Associates Quality Consultancy and Training, 5 Hallastone Road, Helsby, Cheshire, ABSTRACT Third party certification to ISO 9001^ or ISO 9002^ involves an organisation being audited by an accredited Assessment Body. The Auditors look for correct interpretation of the appropriate Standard, management commitment and effective corrective action feedback loops. The process involves reviews of the Quality Management System documentation and physical checks of its implementation. THE AUDITORS PERSPECTIVE What The Audit Involves An independent third party assessment involves a documentation review and a physical check to see if the quality system exists is correctly operated and maintained satisfies the intent of ISO 9000-3*. satisfies all the requirements of the assessment standard (ISO 9001^ or ISO 9002^) is effective
