Abstract

The paper deals with the application of neural network techniques to the supervision of urban traffic. This field is strictly related to the evaluation of vehicular traffic flow and its time prediction which are the main object of numerous international researches. To carry out a traffic control by using traffic signal control it is better to refer to a flow state rather than flow values consequently it is a good idea to define a set of rules to evaluate flow states.
