Book Description

This book contains part (239 papers) of the proceedings of Symposium '98, the first meeting of the new EUREKA environmental project, EUROTRAC-2, a joint European project set up to monitor the impact of human activities on the troposphere over Europe. The meeting was held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, from March 23-27, 1998. The Proceedings follow the organisation of the Symposium itself, with papers or extended abstracts of all the posters and the invited lecture and talks. The collection of papers was authored by leading scientists and researchers active in the implementation of control strategies and environmental abatement in Europe. Each paper within the book contributes in some way to the aims and objectives of the initiative - the preservation of the environment on an international scale. An entire section is devoted to the potential applications of the results to the support of environmental policy development in Europe, the European Union and North America. EUROTRAC will be of interest to scientists from research institutes, universities and industry world-wide. Readership: environmental engineers
