Water pollution is essentially an interdisciplinary field involving scientists and professionals with a wide range of expertise. It also transcends national borders as the contamination of water resources is a problem of global concern. The International Conference on Modelling, Monitoring and Prevention of Water Pollution, held regularly in different locations around the world, provides a forum for the presentation of the latest developments in the field and for their discussion.
